Quinton Stages Set to Go (Press release 5th July)

Entries have been flooding in for the Quinton Stages Rally to be held in Mid-Wales this Saturday. A round of the BTRDA Silverstone Tyres national championship series, some 100 crews are taking up the challenge of the gravel roads on the famous Epynt Ranges and in the surrounding forests.

The Club’s premier annual event and known as one of the classic rounds of the championship, the Quinton Stages has again attracted Britain’s top clubmen with the field being lead away from the Llandovery start by the 2008 event winner Steve Perez in his Ford Focus WRC. A former national champion from Chesterfield, Kick Energy boss Perez is looking to repeat his win of two years ago and continue his significant success so far in this year’s championship, where he currently lies in 3rd place after losing all the points from his first victory of the year on the Wyedean Rally because of a technical infringement.
