At 0630am on the morning of the event, the signing on marquee must be erected and manned
by dedicated QMC Members who carry out the duties of issuing the marshals and radio crews
with their documentation. The entry gate is manned to ensure only authorised persons enter MIRA
as it is a spectator free event. Usually a breakfast kitchen is available to give all competitors a
hearty breakfast before the event.
Once the crews have unloaded, checked and prepared their machines, its time to get down to
the real reson they are here. Competing................for honours.
From the service area, the cars make their way to the start line where they wait patiently for their
start slot.
A cheerful start line crew from Quinton Motor Club welcome the competitor into the start line
procedure.
'Good Morning, can I see your paperwork please'?
The documentation is checked and signed as the competitors begin their countdown to the
start. Nerves are jangling, cars are being revved and prep'd..........

The two Quinton start line personnel walk forward to check the readiness of the crew and to
await the timer.
